Prototype tested in operating plants

Australian Meat Processor Corporation reported on 27 March 2026 that a redesigned automated machine for Frenching lamb racks had been tested in commercial processing plants. The project was carried out with Curious Creations. The updated prototype ran on thousands of racks, while plant staff assessed durability, speed, cleaning access and routine operation.

Reported repeatability

AMPC said repeatability in the commercial trials rose from about 86% for earlier versions to 98.5% after component redesign and several iterations. The process is described as waterless. The report concerns a trial prototype; it gives neither a public sales specification nor a measured plant-wide water-saving figure. AMPC links a final project report from the same page.
