Week 42 carcass quotations
The European Commission report updated on 21 October 2026 lists a Week 42 weighted EU average of €157.7 per 100 kilograms of carcass weight for pig classes S and E. The figure was 0.7% below the previous week and 5.7% below four weeks earlier. Separately, Class S averaged €161.1 and Class E €151.3 per 100 kilograms of carcass weight.
Piglets and reporting coverage
The same report lists piglets at €39.5 per head, a different unit from the carcass quotations. It notes that the latest-week price communication was missing for Spain, Croatia, Italy, Malta and the Netherlands. EU pigmeat averages are weighted from national prices submitted by member states, using coefficients based on their shares of EU production over the preceding three years.
