Trials at Kilcoy and Cootamundra

The Australian Meat Processor Corporation reported on 9 February 2026 that Intelligent Robotics had trialled automated beef scribing at Kilcoy Global Foods in Kilcoy and Australian Meat Group in Cootamundra, New South Wales. The system uses machine vision to locate cutting points and a robot to make the scribing cuts at the first stage of carcass breakdown.

Results reported by the processors

AMPC said the Cootamundra installation was about nine months into an 18-month trial when the release appeared. Kilcoy Global Foods said more than 90% of carcasses were cut within millimetres of the target line. These are results reported for the two Australian installations, not a specification or project result for Zhengye equipment.
