The EU dashboard puts week-40 heavy lamb at €920.5 and light lamb at €1,053 per 100 kg carcass weight.

Two reported lamb classes
The European Commission's sheep and goat dashboard, updated on 7 October 2026, reports week-40 heavy lamb at €920.5 per 100 kg carcass weight and light lamb at €1,053.0 on the same basis. Heavy lamb refers to carcasses above 13 kg; light lamb is below 13 kg. The two reported values are carcass prices, not live-animal quotations.
First-half trade volume
The same dashboard lists EU exports of sheep and goat products at 58,632 tonnes carcass weight for January to June 2026, up from 55,618 tonnes in the comparable 2025 period. Those trade tonnages cover a different period and measure from the week-40 lamb price quotations.
