Typical Sheep Line Process Flow
- Lairage and reception — holding pens and race sized for flock behavior
- Halal restraint and slaughter — restrainer or cradle positioning the animal correctly for the cut, designed to certifier expectations
- Bleeding — bleeding conveyor with length calculated for full exsanguination time at line speed
- Head and trotter removal — early removal stations to protect fleece and skin quality
- Pre-skinning — balanced pre-skinning stations for brisket, legs and flanks
- Skinning — sheep skinning machine with controlled pull, protecting pelt value
